Completely comfortable and completely satisfied

I love this dealership. I shopped around with 12 different Mazda dealerships in the Washington Metropolitan Area and McCullough Metro Motors was completely different from the rest because of their openness.

They responded with everything I asked of them. I found lower priced cars elsewhere, but Kevin at McCullough went out of his way to make me his customer. I am recommending McCullough to anyone I know who is looking for a car.

Dear Jimmie Harper,

First Mazda Ever

Pros: Professional, very efficient and no games.

Cons: none – the entire experience was a nice surprise

I spent the last two days going to different dealers throughout the area, looking for a Mazda 3 Hatchback. I wanted a specific color, make and model and had a limited budget. After wasting a lot of time with four Mazda Dealers in VA, I took a chance and called McCullough Metro Motors in Maryland.

The first gentlemen I spoke with was Russell (sales person) – he was professional and a great listener. He took the time to repeat my request back to me to ensure he understand exactly what my requirements were. Russell promptly introduced to me to one of the owners (Kevin) also extremely courteous and Kevin then repeated and confirmed that they could meet my requirements within my budget and then promptly set about processing everything in quick and timely manner.

I would recommend anyone living in the Metropolitan area to drive "out of their way" if need be – to McCullough Metro Motors if they want an easy, no hassle kind of car buying experience.

Thank you again Russell, Kevin and last but not least Sean for making my experience a positive one. I love my new Mazda 3 Hatchback!

Dear Patrick McCullough, Dealer:

I would like to say you have an outstanding staff at McCullough Motors Volkswagen. On May 19th I went to purchase a Jetta and ended up getting a new 2008 Passat, which by the way drives like a dream.

The service I received was outstanding. I traded in my old 2005 Jetta. I would like to take a moment to say thank you so much to your wonderful staff. Mr. David E. Harris Sales and Internet Rep sold me my car, was knowledgeable about the car, courteous and worked hard to get me a good deal. I would also like to give a special thanks to Mr.John Mercer, Volkswagen General Manager, he did a wonderful job working with me on financing and getting me a great car note price.

I cannot forget Ms. Renee T. Bates, Assistant Sales and Finance Manager. Thank you so much for completing all of my paperwork and your kindness has been greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much. This is my 3rd Volkswagen and I am so pleased. I have received so many compliments on my Passat. I am always sure to tell them where I got the car.

Thank you so much, and I look forward to doing business with you in the future.

Best regards,

Shawnda Grimes

I bought a new Volkswagen Bug December 31, 2007. I want you to know what a great experience it was. The reason I am writing is that I know most women wouldn't buy a car without a man, husband, etc, with them. Me either, but I went alone just to look since I had a 2000 Bug and McCullough VW does the service on it.

I know Kevin Fluke, the Service Manager. What great service I always got on my used Bug. So I thought, "I know Kevin will get me great service." I walked in, said "Kevin I'm thinking of buying a car… not sure… just thinking."

Kevin said "Let me introduce you to a great guy." So I met John Mercer, new General Manager. What a guy. As son as he welcomed me, I got a feeling you know this is going to be good, there was no pressure, which I hate. He said "what are you looking for?" I said I don't know, maybe a used 2005 or 2006, low mileage. He said, "Let me get Jimmie, the Salesman, to show you a car or two."

Jimmie showed me one and I said "No way, I don't like the color." He said no problem. I looked over in the lot, saw a great white Bug with a black roof, and asked what year it was and how much. Jimmie went right to John. No going back and forth for an hour. He told me a price and gave me a great deal on my car.

I felt at that moment, "Guess what! I'm buying a new car!" No hassle, as before in dealerships you spend hours on how much do you what to spend then the salesman goes back and forth to his boss. This was so simple, and an honest deal. I did not have my husband with me, and I've never bought nor went into a dealership without him, so then I said to John, "I'm going to come back tomorrow to do the paperwork. I don't have a lot of time." He said "Maryann, it won't take long." I said "Please, if it's going to be hours, I can't stay. Been there, done that."

I was out within one hour. I couldn't believe it! The next day I went to pick it up. I see a man walking around with a McCullough jacket on. He shook my hand and said "I'm Pat McCullough, the owner. How are you?" I was shocked. When do you meet the owner of the dealership? I couldn't say enough nice things about his dealership, which is somewhat new. Before, when it was Koons, the only good thing was Kevin in the Service Department, but buying a car was an all day affair… sorry if I'm going on and on, but folks are so quick to criticize, but not always to compliment.

I do know that if any of my friends need to buy a VW, I will surely send them to see the best dealer in town–McCullough VW in Marlow Heights, MD. And Jimmie is the greatest salesman you can meet. Not once did he make me feel "Let's make a deal ASAP."

Thanks for listening!

Dear Mr. McCullough,

It gives me great pleasure to commend to you an outstanding member of your sales staff, Mr. Al Daniels. On Monday morning January 21, 2008, I brought to your service department a 2001 Buick which had been purchased and maintained there since the day I bought it there.

Mr. Daniels observed my anxiety at 7:30 a.m. and as I moved into the waiting room area, introduced himself quietly and gave me his business card, assuring me that without any pressure, he would be glad to help me any time with the purchase of a new automobile to suite my needs.

At 9:30 the service department gave me the dreaded news that my 116,000 mile LeSabre was on its last legs, which I had anticipated for about a week.

Thus began a smoothly satisfying odyssey, with the steady and calm Al Daniels operating at warp speed but making it seem like a springtime stroll in the park. Within six hours Mr. Daniels orchestrated these events in seamless fashion:

  1. My wife and I had test driven a 2008 Buick LaCrosse.
  2. It had a different set of options than we desired.
  3. Al engaged Mr. Thomas Farnsworth in the process.
  4. They checked and found a vehicle to our satisfaction in Manasses, VA.
  5. Al left to pick up the car.
  6. At 4 p.m. my wife and I completed the transfer of title, paid by check, and owned a new car, which would be ready for pickup first thing the next morning.
  7. I called my automobile insurance company from your company offices to update coverage.

Overnight, I reflected on the supremely talented gentleman who had gone to such trouble and made it seem so natural. My humble background in salesmanship included two separate retail operations, both of which ended in my being offered substantial opportunities for rapid advancement and, partial ownership. Further, in my studies up through graduate degree, my major field was in Distribution/Retailing. In other words, your premier salesman Al Daniels reaffirmed everything from my own experience!

Thank you for sharing valuable time with me.

Sincerely,

John D. Geron

Dear Mr. McCullough,

I just wanted to let you now that I enjoyed my experience with Metro Motors. Your motto, "If you are not happy… We are not happy" fit right into my situation. Since I traded my 2005 Vibe for a 2008 Torrent, I have had problems. Not your fault, but the fault of the company that financed my car.

Upon learning of the problem, I called Hollis Batts and he got right on the problem and tried to fix it. Again, the finance company put me through… Hollis, along with Tiffany got the problem solved and that made me happy.

I was on the phone with Hollis on a daily basis and he was always pleasant and professional. I know if it had been me… I would have run up a flagpole. For his professionalism and great attitude I am very appreciative.

After that problem was solved, I came across another problem, with DMV. I called Metro Motors again and talked with Al. Within the hour, he tried to fix the problem. When I called back to DMV, they said they had not received the paperwork, which I know they did, as I was on the phone with Al when he faxed it to them. So again, I called Al, and he took the time to assist me again. The issue was resolved, and for that I was appreciative.

Never in my years of buying cars did I have the representatives take time out of their busy days to assist a customer after the car was off the lot. Normally, you get the run around.

I am telling you all this because I feel you have a wonderful group of representatives that work for you. They are truly and asset to your company. I will recommend McCullough Metro Motors to friends and family. Whenever I find someone that needs a new or used car, McCullough Metro Motors will be the first words out of my mouth. Al and Hollis will be the second.

Mr. McCullough, thank you for hiring such knowledgeable and professional representatives. I know you get letters like this all the time, but I hope you know how sincere and appreciative I really am. Words cannot explain the feelings I have walked away with. I have thanked Al and Hollis, but please let them know again how thankful I am for finally meeting car dealer representatives that care about their customers and their needs.

Thanks,

Constance Pate
